The board is rewritten every afternoon. So is this page.

Small, dark, and worth the wait.
Forty seats on Coming Street. A line most nights. A raw bar, a handful of oysters flown in that morning, and plates built around whatever the boats brought in. It's loud, it's low-lit, and there are no reservations — that's the point.

James London.
A Charleston native who cooked through New York and San Francisco before coming home to open Chubby Fish in 2018. The room has since earned a Bon Appétit Best New Restaurant nod, a spot on Food & Wine's list of the best restaurants in the country, and a James Beard finalist nod for Best Chef: Southeast — all built one nightly catch at a time.

We don't take reservations. But we'll tell you when we're open and what's on tonight. No spam — just the catch.
